As a part of the conference, we will be offering a professionalization workshop for graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career scholars led by Dr. Yuliya V. Ladygina (Pennsylvania State University). The goal of the workshop is to bring together emerging scholars in Ukrainian Studies to discuss the academic (and academic-adjacent) job market and brainstorm professional development strategies. The topics to be covered at the workshop include planning your academic job search, balancing the job search process with research and teaching, creating a compelling research portfolio, cultivating academic networks, and more. 

We hope to provide modest stipends to a selected number of in-person workshop participants.
